The Dive Lantern Beacon 2000 is a compact primary dive light with 2,000 lumens, a 9 degree beam and a 90 minute runtime at full output. It has three output levels and external magnetic charging.

- Dive Lantern says the three output levels let you extend runtime for a double dive by dropping to 1,000 lm for periods of the dive.
- How do I charge it?
- With the external magnetic charging cable at 2 A. A full charge takes about 3 hours.
- Can I use a spare battery?
- Yes. It uses a 21700 5000 mAh 3.6 V battery, which is also available separately.
Three output levels
The Beacon 2000 gives 2,000 lumens for 90 minutes, 1,000 lumens for 180 minutes and 200 lumens for 900 minutes. Dive Lantern says the middle level lets you extend the runtime enough for a double dive.
Charges without opening the light
External magnetic charging at 2 A refills the 5000 mAh 21700 lithium-ion battery in about 3 hours. The same magnetic cable works with the Focus 3000.
Small enough to carry
At 157 x 39 mm and 250 g including the battery, it can be clipped to a BCD or kept in a pocket. It is amphibious, so it can be used above and below the water, and is rated to 100 m (330 ft).
